![]() ![]() The one that I don’t have is Golden Book. The ones I own are Haru o Matsukoro (Indonesian translation: Angin Musim Gugur, in English: The Wind of Fall) and Patel Kibun (Pastel Mood). ![]() There 3 manga about them, but I only have 2 books. Challenge, I took out 2 Manga about a couple Named Chizumi and Fujiomi. I’m not sure if this manga had already been translated to English or not.Īfter 2 months of reading nothing but thriller for my R.I.P. I’m writing this manga review in English because I’m going to include this in my Manga Challenge 2010. ![]() Its available to read online from a lot of sources and for shoujo fans its a real treat. This series is from the 80's (in Japan, its never been domestically released in America), but other then the lack of technology it holds up well. Re-reading this now, about 12 years from the first time I read it, my opinion hasn't changed. Fujiomi is a quiet, stoic sort of fellow and Chizumi is an absent-minded klutz, but they embrace those things and they strive to meet what the other needs. They're together because they understand each other. ![]() Chapter after chapter, as everyone misunderstands their relationship, Hikawa shows that the reason why they are together has nothing to do with popularity or looks or such things. What I found so endearing (and makes me re-read the series countlessly to the point where I tracked down the new bunko editions to buy) was that Hikawa (who is famous in America for her 14 volume fantasy series From Far Away) doesn't ever stray from the core of the first story. Its not terribly original in that regard. The trials they face are your basic run of the mill things-jealous admirers, former enemies, their own (or mostly Chizumi's) insecurities. This first book follows the characters until Fujiomi graduates and Chizumi is about ready to graduate. Thus begins their tumultuous relationship. Kou Fujiomi, the resident popular guy loner in second year, finds it and brings it to her. One day her beloved sister's hat is blown away. Her older sister recently got married and went on her honeymoon, so to assuage her fears Chizumi had been trying to live on her own without problems. The basic premise is this: Chizumi Shinohara is a 1st year high school student that is the biggest klutz you could ever meet. "Chizumi & Fujiomi" was by far one of my very favorite series. MangaSync-which featured shoujo, mystery and suspense primarily and had a lot of older series, Shoujo Magic-which was also primarily shoujo and spicier works and Mangascreener-which did a whole different range of genres. I actually read the Japanese version (Haru wo Matsu Koro or Waiting For Spring).Ī long time ago, back when manga scanlations were still kind of a new thing to me (freshmen year of college, so 2002 in case anyone cares) I stumbled upon 3 groups that scanned ALL the manga I could ever want or love. ![]()
